Evangelicals Take Obama To Task Over ‘War on Religion’ at Rally in Tampa, FL

On Sunday, the Faith and Freedom Coalition rally gathered hundreds of evangelicals who are taking President Barack Obama to task for what they are calling his “war on religion.” Among the speakers at the rally, held in Tampa, FL were Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich and Ralph Reed, the founder of the Faith and Freedom Coalition.

Reed spoke to a crowd of over 1000 people gathered at the Tampa Theatre in advance of the Republican National Convention. Reed blamed conservatives for Obama’s win saying that they helped him win in 2008 by not voting. He noted that in 2008, 17 million evangelical Christians made the decision not to vote.
