Evelyn Lozada Files for Divorce from Chad Johnson

The weirder they are, the harder they fall.  Did you really think this relationship was going to last?  We didn’t think so either.  We just thought that they would at least give us a year of drama before calling it quits.

Evelyn Lozada, the wife of Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, has filed for divorce.  TMZ is reporting that the couple is planning to end their marriage just six weeks after their honeymoon.  Lozada has filed documents with the court stating that their marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

The divorce was likely spurred after a recent domestic violence incident during which Evelyn and Chad both say that the other headed them, leading to Chad going to jail when police arrived.  Evelyn had a gash on her forehead, which led to Chad’s arrest.

According to various sources, Evelyn confronted Chad after finding a receipt for condoms on the floor of his car.  The couple had a prenuptial agreement, which should make the split up simple.  The two had their marriage recorded for a VH1 special, which has been since canceled.
