Florida School Superintendent Stops Action on Removal of Anti-Gay Church

Alberto Carvalho, Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ superintendent, has stopped all action to remove Impact Church, which meets at North Miami High School, for it’s anti-gay stance.

The superintendent recently penned a memo to the school board saying that he would not be taking any further action against the Impact Church in Miami.

In the letter he writes,

“The school district acknowledges the constitutional right of all persons to express themselves freely…Our firm belief is that, under the law, constitutionally protected freedom of speech for all, including those who lease our facilities, must be observed even when it may be perceived as offensive to some.”
