Gabby Douglas didn’t end her Olympic dream in a dreamy fashion. After making history as the first African American to ever win the all-around event, Douglas finished in last place in the women’s balance beam final. This was the low point of a very poor performance, which was full of a series of near-falls all along the way.
She failed to nail a backhand spring initially and her right foot slipped. That caused her to fall on the beam and hang by her arms. She wasn’t injured, but finished with an abysmal score of 13.633.

The plantation/crab mentality remains strong in the US. Black folk who follow the self-hatred programmed into them in the plantation mind control system are dysfunctional brothers/sisters who can’t stand to see anyone rise above the system; they have internalized their plantation training, and see successful blacks as traitors because they identify with failure and self-hatred. Gabby has done what no other woman, black or white, has done. She has made history; and those twitlings who comment about her hair are as useless as a burning bag of manure in a rain storm. To all of my brothers and sisters; tune the haters out; flush them down the toilet; and be proud of those who fly high, uninhibited by naysayers whose only accomplishments are the dung droppings which fall from their lips like loose bowels in a greens eating contest,

Dear Gabby:
You are still a CHAMPION!!!! You are sixteen and accomplished what some never do in a lifetime.
I am so sorry that you had the falls and as I look
at the pictures, it is obvious, that you were under a lot so stress.
Did they check the beam before you went out.Is it possible that it needed to be wiped down.
I do not want the world to think that these things are not happening.
I remember one time, the ice skaters kept falling in the exact same spot, all of them, even Kristy.
They discovered the ice had not been wiped and there were wet spots. Not knowing if it was real ice, teflon or synethic ice or what, but I could see the moisture on the rink.
I want to feel that this was from stress from all the negative comments.
Hold your head HIGH! You are still an American STAR.
Do not let this stop you, from trying again.
You are a beautiful young lady and still an inspiration to so many. REMEMBER,YOU DO HAVE A GOLD!
God Bless You.

You can always count on the crabs to bring you down when you are on top. They started a smear whisper and tried to derail her. But God is good. She will learn from this experience and just get better. You can never hold a good woman down. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Gabby with all those negative vibes around you like satan demonic Spirit . You are a young and beautiful young Lady with a very bright abd wonderful Future . Those so called China competition is the ones whose tried to throw you off they did eveything in their natural power to fix the beam so you would be the one to get trap by the slippery oil they put on the beam just for you . But don’t you worry about anything because in reality they didn’t win they cheated to get it and it won’t last for them . I am sure that the truth will come out on those so called Judges that were paid to make sure you didn’t go to the Finals and I thinkk that beam should be investigated by a beam inspector . You are the Winner and always will be . Keep on moving forward don’t even think about the ignorant peoples of this evil and wick system . They been playing dirty games since they were drafted by Yacub the scientist . Michael Jackson showed the World that Black Man is Superior of all Race . We are the true Peoples of the Most High God the Dominant Race of God Peoples . Your are the Apple of God Eyes And don’t you ever forget that . Okay We Love you dearly .

Negativity and criticism are like air born disease: they do harm. God Bless Little Gabby Douglas, her superior athletic skills, her social strenth and her beautiful suit of healthy black kinky hair. I love it.

Response to DJ:
Be grateful that Dr. Watkins is keeping us in the loop with all theses articles that others are published about us. If he didn’t post them we would not be aware of just what is being said about us or done to us. I don’t think it is his intent to do any more than to keep us informed. I may not agree with allthe comments he makes on some issues but I know if I didn’t get his email, I would be missing out on a lot of Black news. while some of it may be distasteful to some it is informative to others and I would rather see it here than on some other site or posted all over mainstream media outlets. At least here we are getting the truth.
As Pamela Maxwell Clarke stated, I too am sure that all the negative comments in the media concerning Gabby’s hair and not wearing a patriotic outfit, had a lot to do with her faltering in her last two events. The racists haters did what they set out to do…they made her lose her focus. But they can’t take away the fact that she is still the #1 Women’s Olympic Gymnast for the next 4 years regardless.
Its time to chage her name from “The Flying Squirrel”to “Golden Gabby”

The things said about her definitely didn’t help her. She’s human, has feeling and only 16 years old.
I’m proud of Gabby and I hope she keeps her head up and continue to succeed.

Did you guys ever think that all of the negativity and pressure regarding her looks pushed on her by viewers may have underminded her confidence and her ability to focus on her task. God bless little exceptional Black girls like her who are torn apart by her own people. The Williams sisters had a more protective layer from family and each other when Black and White folks came after them regarding their looks. Gabby doesn’t have this. In support of Gabby and Black girls and women every where I am deleting this site from having access to my email. I get tired of waking up and opening my email to find one negative message after another about Black women and girls. I don’t know what Dr. Watkin’s agenda is in this respect, but if one does a content analysis of stories on this site, from attacking religious sisters in church, to Rhianna the “wild” or bad girl, to a string of stories trying to discredit or somehow tear down Gabby’s mother, it is clear that this site is being used to wage war against sisters. Perhaps Dr. Watkins is suing his blog to work out his own issues with sisters, or what ever. I do know that I am tired of it and I will not support his aims. I urge other Black women to do the same.

I understand where you’re coming from. I was thinking of leaving this site myself after so many negative stories about “Black women have AIDS and other s*x diseases.” Not one AIDS story on Black males until just recently; considering the CDC lists 70% of AIDS and Gonorrhea cases to Black males.
I have other positive Black female blog sites that I frequent to get a true perspective on Black women.

derrick,
i felt the same way, that white folks were making the snide remarks about her hair, i’m glad someone else has the sense to realize that it possibly was white people. black people know that black hair sweat and kink so what’s the big deal……whites know what to do to upset black people because the girl was scoring higher than her white counterparts. look what they say and do to our president. they hate the fact that gabby, the president, the williams sisters and others are winners. wake up black folks and smell the coffee, they are afraid of losing their entitlements in the united states, they think we are stealing their (i can get whatever i want because i am white) but it’s not us….i’ll leave it there…….

“A vocal group of African Americans on Twitter attacked Douglas for going onto national television without having her hair done.”
———————————————————-
These were not Black people, who said this. They were caucasoid planters, who go on Black sites to cause trouble and spread lies and bullshyt! These planters are on this site and other so-called Black sites, AND THEY ARE PAID!
DON’T BELIEVE THIS g*****n BULLSHYT BECAUSE CRACKERS ARE SOME OF THE MOST LYING a*s demon/devils ON THIS g*****n PLANET!!!
HER HAIR IS GODLY BECAUSE HE HAD ‘LOVE LOCKS’
READ m***a/FUKAS AND LEARN SOMETHING!

Indeed we are so VERY proud of Gabrielle.
It could very well have been Whites who planted this “hair” story in the first place. Whites pick up on the self-hatred conversations of some Blacks and use it against us. Some of the posters (even ones with Black photos on them) could very well be a White person pretending to be Black. It’s something we should keep in mind until proven otherwise.
I think all of this nonsense hair smear may have gotten to our darling. We must better protect our chidren.
