On Friday, gymnastics’ newest superstar, Gabby Douglas tweeted a Bible verse a day after she made history by becoming the first African American to win the women’s gymnastics all-around. The verse she tweeted was Romans 12:19:
“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord’”
Douglas tweeted the Bible verse a day after she had thanked God in her interview with NBC, after winning her second gold medal at the Olympics, saying:
“And I give all the glory to God. It’s kind of a win-win situation. The glory goes up to Him and the blessings fall down on me.”

I’m glad Gabby has a relationship with GOD. She will need it dealing with racism from blacks, whites and other races. It’s sad this young girl can’t enjoy the moment, without the haters attacking her. GOD bless you Gabby, keep making us proud. Your future will be very bright because of all of your hard work and faith. YOU GO GIRL!
