People were swooning over the pictures of NBA star Dirk Nowitzki as pictures emerged of his wedding to Jessica Olsson. The two have been together for years, and the wedding caught the attention of the nation for obvious reasons. The interracial nature of the relationship has some women wondering if white guys are more likely to jump the broom with them, and there is a natural fascination with white guys who do things that black men don’t stereotypically want to do.
But as you get excited about this wedding and look for your white knight in shining armor, we encourage you to remember these things.
1) Black men do get married. For every white man who marries a black woman, there are probably 100 black men who do the same thing.

I wish them well. I think the focus was not on them because theirs is a love story, which does not spark outrage. The media likes outrage, like getting black women upset because they feel too many black men are marrying white some.

Black men do get married but so what!!! No one says a word when a black man marries a white women, so why menion black men when a black woman marries a white man? Double standards?
