New Jersey Man on Trial For Throwing His 3 Month Old Baby Off Bridge

On Wednesday the murder trial of Shamsid-Din Abdur-Raheem started. Abdur-Raheem is on trial for the murder of his 3-month-old daughter, Zara Malani-lin Abdur-Raheem, who he repeatedly admitted to throwing off a bridge on a New Jersey highway in February 2010.

Venetta Benjamin, the mother of the baby who had custody of the baby, left her with her mother, the baby’s grandmother. Even though Benjamin had sought a restraining order against Abdur-Raheem, he still came and took the baby.

According to prosecutors,  in February 2010,  Abdur-Raheem took the baby from her grandmothers apartment in East Orange, NJ. While he was snatching the baby, Abdur-Raheem reportedly assaulted the baby’s grandmother and even hit her with a van. He is reported to have driven to the Driscoll Bridge on the Garden State Parkway and tossed the baby into the Raritan River.

Why are we wasting tax payers money on a trial. HE DID IT. He admitted it. Put him out of his misery by putting him to death or better yet, lock him up in a tiny dark room for the rest of his life. Let him suffer the way his baby did before she drowned!!

That Father should be put to death…He had no right throwing the baby over the bridge…If he didn’t want her he should have not picked her up…That baby deserved to live…Now he should be put to death…How in the world are you going to kill Ur own child?? We have some sick people in this world that shouldn’t even be parents…My God bless the Mom and her family while having to go through all this because of a stupid man!!!
