Private Companies are Pushing to Build Ships for Space Travel

A brave new world appears to be coming, as private corporations are now starting to go head-first into the space travel game.  SpaceX, a company run by Elon Musk, is one of many corporations that see riches in space travel.   Now that NASA has been forced to let go of its monopoly on outer space, several companies and adventurers are lining up to take its place.

“We’re making space more American. We’re making space more democratic. We’re making space more available, approachable and real to the average American,” says James Muncy, president of the space policy consulting firm PoliSpace in Alexandria, Va.
