Sadness from Detroit: 87-Year Old Woman Carjacked in Broad Daylight

Police are investigating in Detroit after an 87-year old woman was carjacked in broad daylight.  Johnnie Mae Ethridge says that she is shaken after two men walked up to her at gunpoint and took her car.  She was just a few blocks from her home, getting her brakes fixed, when the crime took place.

The woman says that the men didn’t even give her time to take off her seat belt before pushing her out of the car.

“The other fella was at the rear of the car and he had his gun.  I had a problem trying to get the seat belt loose,” Ethridge said.
