I don’t think that anyone would even attempt to make the case that our government isn’t corrupt. The best example of government corruption is probably the tax code, which is written in a way that allows the rich to legally pay approximately half the taxes of the working poor and middle class. Having said that, many politicos have long observed that there’s a different standard between how black high profile government officials and white officials are held accountable.
