Tyler Perry Says He’s Not Putting on the Madea Dress for a While

Tyler Perry is working now to overcome the stigma of being Mr. Madea year round.  He’s made a few hundred million by putting on a dress and he’s now working to create a more respectable acting career.  In a message to his fans, Perry says that he is going to take some time away from the stage and won’t be putting on the Madea dress for a while.

“I don’t know if you remember this or not, but around 2005 I took off from touring my Madea plays for about 5 years. During that time, I was working mostly on movies and TV shows.
