Michael Jackson Was a Broken Man Before His Death
According to the promoters of his 2009 comeback, Michael Jackson was unstable and insecure. Randy Phillips told the LA Times that Jackson would get drunk and lock himself in his room, causing Phillips to panic. Phillips, an employee at Anschultz Entertainment Group, wrote in his emails to his boss that he needed to sober Jackson up, leaving the higher ups at AEG disgruntled.
Some of the things written between Phillips and his bosses in their 250 pages of messages initially sound like insults aimed at the star, but the messages have the tone of someone who was trying to desperately help a broken man.
