According to the weekly Nielesn Survey on Target Market News, VH1′s “Love & HipHop Atlanta” was ranked the most watched cable program among African Americans. The rankings were acquired for the third week of August, in which the “Love & HipHop Atlanta” reunion episode was broadcasted. The reunion episode drew in 3 million African Americans to the VH1 network.
The second most watched cable program in African American households that week was VH1′s “Single Ladies,” which drew in 2.2 million viewers. Among the top five watched cable programs in African American households tat week were the Kirk Franklin-hosted “Sunday Best” on BET, the season finale of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” and TBS’ “For Better or Worse,” which also took the sixth spot.
