Kanye West, as odd as he is, has been quite revealing when it comes to his everlasting appreciation for Kim Kardashian. Kim loves black men and black men seem to love her back. A recent announcement about Kanye spending a million dollars for Kim’s birthday party is both an exercise in financial flamboyance and a potentially obnoxious proclamation of Kanye and Kim’s growing relationship. Kanye might spend that million having a big party, but he would not give that same million to feed 10,000 starving and dying children in Africa.
But we asked our readers on your Facebook page what they thought about the Kanye/Kim relationship and whether or not it represents yet another slap in the face for black women. Many black women feel that black men are willing to go the extra mile and do things for non-black women that they wouldn’t do for women who look like their moms. Is this true? I think Kanye is trying to make more of a name for himself. Why would he get involved with a married woman who was married to another black man? Is he trying to prove something? Is he doing it on a bet? What ever the reason, Kim still WINS… She will spen ALL his money, then leave him high and dry. Men who do this get exactly what they deserve, and Kanye is no different.
Any yes, I do believe he would spend that much money on a BLACK woman. See white women have something to prove, and yes its a slap in our faces. BUT, we do survive and WE have the LAST dance. So, Kanye, when you are down and out, don’t look to a SISTA. A white women wont take you either because they dont want a broke black man! So, ejnoy yourself now because your number will soon be up! I really hate to say this but after reading some of the above Facebook comments and having my own conversations with other female friends, a lot of black women act like Kim Kardashian is entitled so he gets a pass because she is white. But when it comes to another black woman getting spoiled or whatever, we will tear that woman down! “her hair ain’t right” “why is he with her when he could be with me” our mindsets are waayy off! We all know Kanye has some MAJOR issues and I believe that his treatment of Kim K is a huge reflection of how our community treats those how we may feel are “entitled”
