Chad Johnson Refuses to Sign Evelyn’s Divorce Papers

According to TMZ, NFL star Chad Johnson has stated clearly that he refuses to sign the divorce papers that would separate him from his wife, Evelyn Lozada.  This is the latest twist and turn in a drama for the ages, in a marriage that only lasted 41 days before each party was talking about splitting up.

Chad says that he wants to remain married to Evelyn and work through the situation.  She’s not having any of it, and says that she’s ready to end this relationship and move on to the next one.  Evelyn filed divorce papers just three days after a recent incident during which she claims that Chad head-butted her during an argument.

Since that time, Evelyn has presented herself as the new spokesperson for battered women across the country.  But observers are wondering if she is going to continue battering women on the hit television show, “Basketball Wives.”  Evelyn was known for being the biggest bully and abuser on the show, often instigating physical violence against other women.

Chad raised the stakes in this odd relationship by getting Evelyn’s face tattooed on his leg.  He was also cut from the Miami Dolphins within hours of the domestic violence incident.  Evelyn doesn’t need Chad’s signature to get the divorce to go through.  In the state of Florida, where the papers were filed, all she needs is a judge’s approval.
