“Freddie Mac Sold Me a Meth Lab”

In America, home ownership has become a part of the American  dream, due largely in part to George W. Bush’s push towards an “Ownership Society.” Government has become an increasingly active participant in helping Americans find a home. Question is, can you always trust your government? One family says no, and wants to get the word out about how getting a home through Freddie Mac went from a dream to a nightmare:

Within weeks of moving in, my wife, my two year old son, and I all started getting sick — we got terrible mouth sores, nosebleeds, and started to have trouble breathing. It was so hard watching my son scream in pain when he tried to eat or even drink water. That’s when we learned from a neighbor that our new home used to be a meth lab, and we were being exposed to the drug and the toxic chemicals used to make it.
