The parents of Olympic Gold medalist Tianna Madison apparently have a bone to pick with their daughter. Madison’s parents filed a $50,000 lawsuit against their daughter for allegedly slandering her parents with stories that they believe to have damaged their reputation.
Madison argues that her parents have been selfish bullies toward her and cheated her out of her money, causing her to go bankrupt. Elyria residents Robert and Jo Ann Madison filed the suit in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, claiming libel, slander and defamation against the woman. They say that, in contrast to her claims, they were loving parents toward their daughter.
Madison’s husband, John Bartoletta, is also named in the suit for allegedly making false statements to the media. The worst part of the allegation that Madison made against her parents is that she blames them for allowing a local boy to come into their home and molest her.
Tianna won a gold medal in the women’s 4×100 meter relay and also made the finals of the Olympic Women’s 100 meter dash. She is one of the fastest women in the world. Her parents are seeking $25,000 each in compensatory and punitive damages.
Madison has not returned to her home in Elyria, Ohio after breaking the world record in the women’s 4×100 meter relay. Even when her parents held a rally for her, she didn’t attend. Her parents even went to London to watch her perform. They say that they spent over $100,000 supporting their daughter’s dream and are flabbergasted that she would speak so negatively about them in the press.
Brian Butler, Tianna’s rep, said that they are not going to speak on the lawsuit at this time.
“This should be a time for not just Tianna, but her family to celebrate all she has gone through and her winning a gold medal,” said Butler. “That is what she is going to focus on at this time.”

I was just wondering how any ONE can stay on the internet all day long, every day of the week, spewing venom on every situation. (veins popping, heart rate increasing, BP 195/100) Just angry and bitter all day, every day. I don’t quite understand it. One would have to be confined to a wheelchair, with a colostomy, a feeding tube, unable to work OR layed off unable to work OR just refuses to work and collecting a government check and trapped behind a computer screen with no friends and/or family. What a sad existence.

If you want to denigrate white people who have hurt you, by all means go right ahead. If you want to acknowledge all of the atrocities committed throughout the annals of time by those of European descent, my brother have at it. BUT if you want to take the words of my Lord and Savior and twist them around for you own hateful and spiteful usage, then that is where I draw the line every time!
First of all you misquoted the scripture twice. John 4:20 does not read as you said but rather: “Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.” This is a conversation Jesus is having with a woman who desperately needed to be forgiven of her sinful and rebellious heart just like all of us including you. Jesus opened the door and met her just when and where she needed Him just as He can do for you if you let him. Brother Derrick, It is a very easy thing to hate people who have wronged use and belittle others for turning a blind eye to the behavior even when it is being thrust upon them as well, but my brother that is a plain out-right sinful practice to love only those who love you. Since you are using my manuscript to quote from, it also calls for use to love our enemies and pray for those who spitefully misuse us. God does not call us to be totally placatory; we are to fight the good fight of faith while knowing that faith without works is dead.
Brother I have never met you before in my life but I know that the God of Moses did not call you to harbor the irrepudiated anger in God’s temple the way you are doing. Not for the white man but for you am I asking you to give all of your hurt to Jesus. He is waiting to love you and restore your fellowship back to the father. Out of all the white man has stolen down through history, DON’T LET THEM STEAL YOUR SOUL. Brother they just are not worth it. Call on Jesus and I promise you he will answer you. Forgiving others of the maliciousness they have shown you is not for them, it’s for you my brother.

She the olympic medal winner started with defaming accusations; Now that she has the spotlight or the microphone, she starts off by blasting her parents as bullies? Tianna defamed her parents. Don’t get it twisted I am not condoning bulling or any type of harm to any person. If you go into an interview and just start throwing out negative and defaming statement then you are responsible for your words. She should have addressed this issue like a responsible person.

Yes, some of us are lost, (NOT ME), but they will soon have a wake up call! I would hate to see some of these mediocre black people go through h**l, such as having a child shot by the police because they would loose what is left of their little PEA BRAIN! Race does have something to do with it! She thinks she not black now and that’s why she married her latino husband! So what’s the difference, she going to give all her money to her husband’s many relatives who probably wasn’t even in the picture when the parents supported her financially! It is funny how black people think they owe the world when they get money, but no one was even thinking about this girl when she was living with her parents and who knows, they may had some struggles. Black people do need to know NO ONE LOVES YOU. Start loving yourself, and WEAVE IS NOT THE ANSWER! Use Obama as an example, those people do not dislike him for his policies but is because of his race. I think this young woman may suffer from self esteem issues too, and that is why she married a latino guy thinking that it will rid the BLACKNESS OUT OF HER FAMILY! When all the fame and fortune is over, she will have to crawl her black behind back to her black parents. I just do not believe that any parents would knowingly allow their child’s attacker in their home! I just have a feeling that this story is not going to turn out good. I agree with your comments regarding Ms Tianna Madison. And I would give any benefit of doubt to Madison’ parents. Often times fame goes to a childs head and they forget about the sacrifices loving parents made to advance the upstart’s career.
