If President Obama thinks he can win reelection fair and square, then he has another thought coming. Officials in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida are already attempting to suppress votes among young, elderly, and minority voters in an effort to prevent an Obama reelection victory come November.
In a curious bit of election 2008 trivia, Obama won a tiny victory in Nebraska:
The most impressive victory of President Obama’s 2008 campaign may have also been the most minute: he won a single electoral vote by a single percentage point in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District. (Nebraska is one of two states, along with Maine, that awards electoral votes by Congressional district.)
And even though it is a given that Obama won’t be winning Nebraska, that’s not good enough for red state Republicans. They’re working to make certain that President Obama doesn’t even get the one electoral vote he received last time around:
