Against All Odds: Serena Williams Pulls off Miraculous Comeback to Win the US Open

Serena has made herself into the Queen of Tennis for 2012 by winning yet another Grand Slam title.  Williams clinched both a victory in the US Open, as well as player-of-the-year honors by defeating the world’s #1 ranked player, Victoria Azarenka 6-2, 2-6, 7-5.  The match was closer than previous outings during the tournament, but Williams walked away with the victory.

Williams started the tournament as a #4 seed, which was lower than usual for her.  This is the fifth major win for Williams in recent months, after winning the singles and doubles titles at both Wimbledon and the London Olympics.  There appears to be nothing that can stop her.
