On Monday students, faculty and staff at Louisiana State University were forced to evacuate the campus due to yet another bomb threat.
The Los Angeles Times reported that at 10:32 a.m, the East Baton Rouge Parish emergency center received a call from an anonymous caller who dilaed 911 and said that there was a bomb at the university. According to university spokesperson, Kristine Calongne, the university then sent out an evacuation notice through social media.
Classes were cancelled for the whole day while the campus was inspected. It was not until the evening that law enforcement officials started to allow students back on campus and into their dorms. Because the campus is large, the inspections took a long time.
