Google Has 7,100 People Working on It’s Maps Project

Apple might think that it can leave Google on the backburner for the new iPhone 5, but they might want to think again.  The company has issued its own mapping app and  is already apologizing  for the fact that it is less than adequate.

Maybe they should take a note from Google.  Google has 1,100 full-time employees working on Google maps, plus another 6,000 contractors.  This is a whopping set of commitments and helps us to understand why their mapping technology is far superior to Apple.
