It’s Official: Lil Wayne Has More Hits than Elvis

There’s not too much else to say about this one, but Lil Wayne has officially surpassed Elvis Presley in the number of Billboard Hot 100 hits.  Presley was the king of rock n roll, even though he took a lot of swag from black people, so this move effectively makes Weezy the King of Hip Hop, passing up the likes of Jay-Z and all other hip-hop legends in his achievements.

Weezy’s new song, “Celebration” helped him to seal the fate by debuting at #82 this week.  He now has 109 hits, compared to just 108 for the King.  Well, not the King of South, TI, who isn’t anywhere near either Elvis or Weezy F.
