Never Scared: Eddie Glaude, Cornel West Stand Up for Black America on Poverty, Violence, Mass Incarceration

Eddie Glaude, Cornel West and several other Black Princeton Professors in the Center for African American Studies are not satisfied with President Obama’s performance and they are not holding back. Some of them have even gone on Twitter to voice their dissatisfaction.

CAAS Chair Eddie Glaude GS ’97 has been consistent in voicing his concern and speaking up for black people on social media. On September 4, while the Democratic National Convention was going on, he tweeted,

“As folks rally to support POTUS in Charlotte, will anyone sound the alarm for what is happening in Black America?”

President Obama is not the problem,we are the problem
we are our own enemy because we refuse to follow
truth and change our behavior and follow what G-D
says is acceptable to him.G-D has blessed us with
more help than he has given any other ethnic group
since the beginning of time, one after another, and
look at us still in a pitiful state in the land of plenty, its a slap in the face of G-d,and a rejection of his help.Until we change our behavior and our
dumb mind set we will remain CURSED by G-D, the one
who gives his creation what it needs to sustain.

Boy am i tired of these clowns ,how come they were,nt saying anything about poverty ,and unemployment before Obama came to office? Its the same thing everyone thinks that obama is going to solve everything in 4 years ,it took bush 8 years to make this screw up in the economy and yet everyone thinks obama is going to wave it all away in a single stroke.

I find it fascinating that all of a sudden after Obama get elected this thing become the topic of discussion,Mr Smiley have had a tv show for quite sometime, Mr West have been a professor for a long time,my question is why didn’t the two of them get together and had a forum on this subject back then..I suspect it was because while GWB was in office the subject was taboo, and the network even if it was pbs would not have gone for it,now that we have a President of color the networks are willing to carry this story to the end.

Oh This Tired Tribal Retort is Really A Sad Tribute to What These so-called Learn Men Rag The Poor for their exposure on the Media Scene, West,Tavis and now ttG-Man; doing a smear campaign on the President. He knows Better than the 3 of You All, about Poor, Poverty, as a Elite Graduate from HarvardU…He went to the inner side of Poor and worked with the poor people. When Did The Three of you Go??? You are On a Poor Survey, not job listings, no contacts for Jobs, no outlet for the people to travel to;just a poor report; You do something about; Set up a School in the Poor Ghetto, teach at a Poor School, Don’t just Run your mouth; Saying Nothing!!! Solving Nothing, None of you Work on Behalf of the POOR; Go Live and Help the Poor Where They Are!!! 10years on TV;suppose to help Blacks; Nothing-Tavis; West Will Not Teach & Reach in the POOR Colleges to see that Poor will not Raise Its Ugly Head;because Educators came After Them. The 3 of you Sounding Brass & Tingling Cymbols. Education Is Key, Find That; Instead of Preaching Poor; Suppose ? To Be Educators. What A Waste, 3 Black Men, No Shame, No Dignity, No Integrity of Mind & Heart; The Black President Doing the {Right Thing} as you Do whatever you can to Discredit Him. Sorry Black Men Educators Doing Nothing to Shut Out Poverty!!! You All Do It – Solve Povery with your Self; each One of You!!!
