Tammy Cooper (pictured left) is a stay-at-home mom who lives in La Porte, Texas. She was arrested earlier this month after a neighbor reported her for allegedly letting her kids unsafely play outside on their motorized scooters without any reasonable supervision.
Cooper spent 18 hours in jail after her arrest.
She claims she was watching her children from a lawn chair during the alleged incident. Her two children are six and nine years old. She told a local new station that her family lives in a cul-de-sac and she chose the location as her residence because of its safety.When police showed up at Cooper’s home to arrest her for child endangerment, her kids quickly protested the officers. She quoted the following in an interview with KPRC, a local news station:
