The Hip-Hop Nation and the VOTE: Are We Still Plugged In ?

Unless you are living under a rock or in a bubble, we are well aware of this being an election year. The first term of the first African-American President of the United States has flown by and its time to do it all again. Mud is being slung, propaganda is being propaganda’d and , We, the People, are being bombarded on all media outlets about voting and “issues” to vote for or against in this 2012 election.  My question, and even concern is, is the Hip-Hop nation ready to do it again??  Did the election of Barack Obama inspire the Hip-Hop Nation to really participate more in the process and politics or now that we have had an African-American President, has the Hip-Hop Nation become complacent and/or apathetic??

The 2008 Presidential election showed the power of the Hip-Hop Nation as young minorities registered and participated in record numbers.
