It is being reported that former NFL star Larry Johnson has been arrested for assaulting a woman. The woman Johnson is accused of attacking has been his girlfriend for the last four years. The incident allegedly took place at the Bellagio hotel, where security called police after the two started fighting. The woman was found crying with scars and bruises on her neck, claiming that Johnson had choked her.
The woman claims that Johnson threatened to “rip out her vocal chords” and choked her to the point of unconsciousness. He has been arrested on domestic violence charges.
Johnson was once a highly paid running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, signing a $45 million dollar contract. The 32-year old has been arrested four times since 2003, and in each case was accused of assaulting a woman. In 2008, he was accused of spitting on a woman at a nightclub, paying the woman $100,000 to settle the case.
Johnson was once a star at Penn State, an institution that has also been dogged for having a lax attitude about s****l violence. His career appears to be on the decline and he is currently a free agent. Hard to imagine that anyone is going to want to sign him after this incident.

It might have been said…and I am NOT advocating violence towards women however we need to gain focus and look at everything from all sides. Just like the man can remove himself from the situation, so can the woman. Don’t be naive and act like a woman doesn’t know when the situation is escalating to that point either. She knows when things are getting too heated but society has basically given women the “go ahead” to push and push and push because in the end, the man is the one that has to restrain himself. All I’m saying is what if the woman is stopping you from leaving? If you can’t put your hands on her to remove yourself from the situation, what do you do? we just need to stop always jumping on the back of the male involved in these situations and realize that BOTH parties are at fault. Everything that a man can do to remove himself from that situation can also be done by the woman.
Obviously this doesn’t hold true for the men that just haul off and beat women for no reason. There is definitely no place for that.

This is a lesson for EVERY man out here including myself.
When in any heated and emotional disagreement with your partner/wife, unless the woman has you in a position where you absolutely positively have to defend yourself then you MUST remove yourself from the situation until you can calm down and think rationally.
Any other course of action will likely get you in trouble one way or another.

Ishmar, can you tell us anything at all, that you don’t blame racism as the cause? This b*****d spits, and beats on women, and he did it without the assistance of any white man. Only a b***h, constantly whines, and blame others for all their problems in life. What, or who would you blame for your miserable life if there was never any racism? Most of us have experienced racism, but we wouldn’t blame racism for not brushing our teeth in the morning. You are trivializing racism by using it as an excuse for disgusting behavior by an animal. And yes, that is exactly what Larry Johnson acts like, a f*****g disgusting animal. If this b***h, would have put his hands on one of my sisters, he’d never have to worry about playing football ever again. So stop making excuses for a punk, because when you do, you sound like one.

I have always believed it take two to tango. What did she do to cause him to attack her, and were there any eye witnesses?.This ia whar happen when the Universities put THUGS out into the world instead of educated men who can make good decision.
Given the whorish reputation of some of these women, if his career is in decline, she no longer wants him, because the whole relationship was based on money. Many of them are nothing more than a high price call girls.

The problem is he too was taught to believe in the respect logic. (In order to get respect you must give respect). That logic continues to be proven as only bull*%#t.
We all will be better when we stop using that logic and start using the respect yourself only logic, which states in order to get respect we must respect ourselves only, and give all others unconditional love/respect.

This is the problem with en rich or poor, thy do and say what they want but cannot handle it when a female exercises that same right. I have been with this type of male and it is about control, plain and simple, it doesn’t matter whether they have money or not they will be hitters. While many men may think she deserved it, I can see that maybe she caught him with someone and went off like any other sane person in a relationship, the fact that he has money doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a right to expect fidelity, loyalty and respect.

What if everyone did the right thing? The world would be pretty dull if everyone behaved. Newspapers could not print sensational headlines and people would have nothing to react to…everything would be so mundane. This guy has a long documented history of this behavior and the question is; Why did she stay with him that long? Maybe they were made for each other. I’m reminded of the old cliche, “People make the world go round.”
