Beyonce Dumps Clint Eastwood’s Movie: Was It Because of Politics?

Two of the most vocal celebrities in the world of politics are Beyonce Knowles and Clint Eastwood.  Knowles and her husband, Jay-Z (Sean Carter) have hosted a fundraiser for the Obamas and have also spoken regularly in support of the president and many of his policies.  On the other side of the fence is Clint Eastwood, a well-known Republican who showed up for Mitt Romney and gave the infamous speech to a chair at the Republican National Convention.

Beyonce was slated to star in  the new Clint Eastwood flick, “A Star is Born,” but this week, she confirmed that she will not be appearing in the movie.

Of course, Beyonce is far too gracious to say that she dropped out of Eastwood’s movie because of politics.  Taking the high road, the singer simply stated that she’s too busy to do the film.

“I was looking forward to the production of ‘A Star Is Born’ and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood,” she said to E! News.  ”For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together.”

Beyonce made the decision to star in the project back in January, 2011.  But production shut down when she got pregnant.  Esperanza Spalding is the name being dropped as Beyonce’s replacement.   Spalding took the Grammy for Best New Artist last year.

Anyone with even an ounce of integrity would have to do what Beyonce did. it is a clear conflict of interest….
