‘Bronx Obama’: Man Capitalizes on His Resemblance to President Obama

If someone came up to you and told you that you resembled a famous person, what would you do? Would you laugh it off and share it with your friends at dinner?

Or would you use it to build something bigger?

When Louis Ortiz  discovered that he strongly resembled President Obama, all over a sudden, he had an idea. Ortiz, who was unemployed at the time, decided to put his Obama look to work and make a little cash on the side.

The New York Times reports:

When I went to the Bronx to meet Mr. Ortiz, people were high-fiving and congratulating him. I knew instantly I had to drop everything else and follow him around.

Mr. Ortiz is a walking, talking image of Barack Obama. When people encounter him, they see the version of Mr. Obama they want to see. And when Mr. Ortiz looks in the mirror, so does he.
