This is a sad one. A 3-week old girl was killed by a pit bull this week, when her mother left her in a car seat on the floor of friend’s home. Police say that the baby’s mother left the baby on the floor, not knowing that there was a dog loose in the house. When the mother returned, the dog was mauling the baby. They took the child to the hospital, but she died from her injuries.
The dog has been taken out of the house. Police say that the case has been turned over to the homicide division. Sgt Eren Stephens says that prosecutors will decide to file criminal charges.
“It seems like maybe just a tragic accident,” Stephens said.
This is the latest in a string of dog attacks against infants that have taken place in the city of Detroit. A Maryland court recently ruled that Pitbulls are inherently dangerous animals, risking harm to children and adults in the household. Many experts, however, disagree with the ruling. One thing that’s for sure is that when these dogs attack, they can be ferocious. Protect your children at all costs.

A pit bull is as lethal as a gun, they are bred to attack. When something behaves in a way that triggers that natural instinct sthey will attack. As a hearding dog will heard, and a retrieving dog will retrieve,a attack dog will attack. I suggest a special permit to keep a attack animal.

This breed should be around one owner ONLY. Their nature is not good for multiple member environments. In some housing projects, this breed is BANNED. Having said that, the pitbull is NOT a good breed because of their “innate hostile nature”.

All pitbulls need to be destroyed. Some of them are bred to close and you don’t know it until they become vicious. Why take a chance?

Those dogs need to be banned, but people are breeding these dangerous K9′s in their homes as a career. Pitbulls kill even there owners if given a chance. Sad to hear about this and you have dog lovers defending these animals actions.
