For a bride, the feeling of selecting items for her wedding registry may be easily compared to the sheer excitement of drafting her Christmas wish list for Saint Nick. While for the groom, the empowerment of walking around a store with a gun (scanner) tagging casualties (random sku’s) may be a childhood dream realized. While selecting gifts may seem a task less daunting than all other nuptial preparations, it too can cause much conflict, agitation and furthermore, confusion.

Having managed the selling floor of a large retail department store, I have witnessed the stress a wedding registry may cause both the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. and their well -wishers.
