Exclusive Video: Former Cash Money Records Artist Turk Released From Federal Prison

After serving eight years, eight months, and 16 days in Federal Prison, a former member of Cash Money Records rap super group the Hot Boys has been released. On October 12, 2012, Tab “Turk” Virgil Jr. was discharged from a United States Penitentiary located in Forrest City, Arkansas. He began serving his sentence in 2005 after a he entered an Alford plea for an attempted second-degree murder charge.

The case stemmed from a 2004 Memphis, Tennessee SWAT officer-involved shooting and drug raid where Virgil was apprehended. As a member of the New Orleans-based rap group, Turk performed on classic late 1990s hits, such as “I Need A Hot Girl” and “We On Fire.”
