Gucci Mane vs. Young Jeezy: Beef Reignited

These last couple of weeks have been Beef Central in the world of hip hop …. guess people got records to sell !!! One beef that has been reignited is between Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy. This is beef is a lot different from a lot of the others we see in today’s hip hop arena.  Real blood has been spilled and lives have been lost.

The beef started over a conflict over a song that Young Jeezy made a guest appearance on with Gucci Mane called So Icy. It was reported that Jeezy’s record label, Def Jam, wanted the hit song on Jeezy’s debut album Thug Motivation 101 but Gucci’s label at the time, Big Cat Records, wasn’t having it. Tensions rose between the two, Jeezy released Stay Strapped, a scathing diss song towards Gucci on which he even “jokingly” puts a bounty out on Gucci’s “chain”.
