How Prisons are Killing Black People Like a Holocaust

America incarcerates more citizens than any country in the world.  Even worse, most of these incarcerations are people of color.  Millions of children are born without parents to raise them into adulthood because one or both of their parents is in prison.  According to the American Association of Arts & Sciences, the prison population in the United States has increased every year for the last 36 years and 20% of all black boys born after 1960 is going to end up in prison or jail.

Some are working to do something about this epidemic.  Mariame Kaba is one of those people.
