Felix Baumgartner was an Internet sensation this week after skydiving from an astonishingly high altitude of 128,000 feet, far higher than the airplanes we travel in and 24 miles from the surface of the earth.   The daredevil hit the ground in the New Mexico dessert and was a marketing touchdown for Red Bull, who sponsored the extraordinary feat.

Even more amazing was the number of viewers that Baumgartner attracted on YouTube.   The superhero yanked in a full eight million people, who were all hypnotized by his achievement.
