It seems that the entire Internet has jumped all over Mitt Romney’s ill-advised remark about going through “binders of women” in order to find resumes of qualified job candidates. The president jumped all over this one, making it plain that he doesn’t need anyone to help him find women who are able to do the job.
“Science and technology, engineering, and math … we should make sure all our young people, our daughters as well as our sons, are thriving in these fields,” President Obama said in Mount Vernon, Iowa. “I’ve got to tell you, we don’t have to collect a bunch of binders to find qualified, talented, driven young women, ready to learn and teach in these fields right now.”
The president continued to bash into Romney over what he said in response to a question about equal pay for women. Hammering home a point that has significantly increased his chances at a win in the presidential election. Even Vice President Joe Biden jumped all over the remark, which has become a hot button opportunity for serious political pandering.
