You never really hear what NFL players are doing after their playing days are over. How do they continue to afford the lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to? What if they are hooked on drugs and need to support their habit? What about the out-of-wedlock kids, IRS liens and all kinds of other mess that young men get themselves into? Sometimes the stories get incredibly sad.
A judge ruled this week that Anthony Wayne Smith, a former defensive lineman for the old school Oakland Raiders, has to stand trial for four separate murders. In a preliminary ruling, Judge Lisa Chang said that there is evidence that the 45-year old Smith should be put on trial for four killings over a nine-year period.

What would I do? I honestly don’t know. I would hope that I would have lived so that I could call on God and friends. Yes, I know that friend will leave you when the money is gone, that’s why I put most of my trust and faith in God and not man. Let us remember this brother in prayer, and don’t be so quick to be judgmental.
