Former WNBA Star In Jail for Allegedly Trying to Blow Up Her Ex-Girlfriend’s Car

Former WNBA superstar Chamique Holdsclaw isn’t doing so well these days.  The superstar was arrested and ordered to stay away from her ex-girlfriend after she allegedly hit the woman’s car with a baseball bat and fired a gun inside.  Holdsclaw was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of first degree criminal damage to property.  According to Tracy Flanagan from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the former player is being held at the Fulton County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Holdsclaw is set to remain in jail until she arranges for an ankle bracelet to monitor her movements.

“She will have to wait her turn. There’s no express line. Could take all day,” Flanagan said.

Holdsclaw was pursued by Atlanta police after she allegedly followed her ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Lacy, from her workout to a friend’s house.   After Lacy got out of the car, Holdsclaw approached her Range Rover with a baseball bat.  She allegedly smashed the driver’s side window and rear passenger window before firing the gun inside the car.

“I want to thank my family, friends, fans and Shock family for their concern during this difficult time. I have never felt more love from my fans in supporting me,” Lacy said in a statement released by theTulsa Shock.

Holdsclaw was a great player for the WNBA.  She was an All-Star, Olympic gold medal winner and NCAA champion.  She has also admitted to battling with clinical depression.
