Oprah Winfrey has stated that she is not going to evict her stepsister from the Nashville home owned by her trust, according to published reports. But her stepmother may end up having to move, since she is in the middle of a nasty divorce with her father.
Oprah’s father, Vernon Winfrey, is in the middle of a chaotic divorce in which his wife, Barbara Winfrey is fighting to keep herself and her daughter from being kicked out of the homes owned by Oprah’s trust. An attorney for the truth says that the orders to evict have been rescinded, and Ashley Williams is going to be able to stay in the home that her step sister owns.
Vernon Winfrey sued his estranged wife, claiming that she is ”guilty of inappropriate marital conduct.” She has come back against the allegations, stating that he tried to kill her. She also says that he cheated on her and tried to put her out in the street. The two got married in 2000 and have been living in a $1.4 million dollar home owned by Oprah.
“The LaurelBrooke property is being sold as a result of the divorce,” said Nicole Nichols, spokeswoman for Oprah Winfrey, in a statement Wednesday. “Vernon Winfrey no longer lives there.”
Barbara Winfrey says she had no idea their home was going to be put on the market.
“This is her threat to put me out of my house at LaurelBrooke. She can put it up for sale,” said Barbara Winfrey. “I don’t give a rat’s behind. I don’t mind. I can find somewhere to go live. I expected it.”
Barbara went to court seeking financial support from Vernon, claiming that her monthly expenses are $11,924. But Vernon says he only makes $282 per month after expenses.
Barbara says that Oprah tried to call her this week, but that she didn’t take the call.
“You can put it up for sale but one thing about it, you’ve got to get me out of it first,” she said. “We’re not divorced. … (Oprah) wants to get rid of me and wants to embarrass him. It’s ridiculous. You’re a billionaire. Why are you interested in this house in LaurelBrooke?”

Oprah has a soul to worry about. Sometimes things are not as simple as they seem. Remember Lazarus and the Rich Man? Luke 16:19-31. We encourage each and every one of us to respect the process
of God Almighty. Oprah can only live in one house at a time and even more so she can only sleep in one room at a time.

Ms. Barbara married Vernon Winfrey NOT Oprah Winfrey! Think about it, that would be like You being a billionaire married to my father and when the two of you get divorced, as a very grown woman I expect you to provide for me in the manner in which I had grown accustomed, as a hanger on! Do you see how Ridiculous that sounds! And then not to take Oprah’s calls.(SMH) What did Oprah do to her? She didn’t give birth to Oprah and it’s not Oprah’s responsibility to provide for her. And why would she want a home that she’s not going to be able to maintain anyway? Again Mr. Vernon’s not a billionaire, Oprah is. I understand Oprah gives him $50K per quarter ($200K a year) and I don’t think half of that is going to go very far at taking care of a Mansion, yourself and a grown daughter living with you on that annual income. Quite frankly that woman should be ASHAMED of herself! And the courts are going to see right through her.

The most this woman has is tenancy,thats it. All Oprah needs to do is evict her under the laws of that state and if she refuses to leave get an unlawful detainer and have it served on her and let the law do the rest.
Its a felony in most states, if she tries to destroy the property.
