Two Charged With Distribution of Online Puppy Murder Videos

A Houston man and woman have been charged with distributing online videos of puppy “snuff” films in which puppies and other animals were killed on video.

Wired.com reports:

Federal authorities say the pair made eight videos — bearing titles like puppy 1, whitechick andcrushblackluvsample — that depicted puppies, chickens, kittens and other animals being t******d and killed.

Authorities say this is not the first time that Brent Justice, 51, and Ashely Richards, 22, have been in trouble with the law. Police say the two faced similar charges a few months back for distributing online “crush” videos, which show the crushing deaths of small animals.

Federal law defines a crush video as one which shows any living non-human mammal being “intentionally crushed, b****d, d*****d, suffocated, impaled, or otherwise subjected to serious bodily injury.”

The Wednesday indictment was spurred by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, which forwarded footage that allegedly showed Richards “cutting the leg and slashing the neck and throat of a puppy before beheading the struggling animal with a meat cleaver.”

Court documents described the assailants as using everything from high healed shoes to screwdrivers to t*****e and k**l animals, and initially sealed the charges because of the gruesome content.

Crush videos are illegal and carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
