Dr. Boyce Watkins: Obama Keeps Inviting Unproductive “Black Leaders” to the White House

by Dr. Boyce Watkins

Since President Obama was elected with 93% of the black vote, there is now a conversation regarding how to leverage unprecedented political support in order to receive the attention from the Obama Administration that such support deserves.  The Associated Press wrote about the matter this week, quoting Rev. Al Sharpton, NAACP President Ben Jealous and National Urban League President Marc Morial along the way.

“I think the president heard us loud and clear. The collective message was, ‘Let’s build on where we already are,’” said Rev. Al Sharpton.

Sharpton then continued to speak to the need to “help the black community” by fighting to support President Obama by averting the pending crisis on the fiscal cliff.

Ben Jealous was also quoted, saying the following:

“We need Republicans to think hard and to pull back from the cliff 98 percent of our families, who make up the bulk of this nation, from seeing our taxes being raised,” Jealous said.

Did those whining about President Obama ever sent resumes to him? I guess not. I have said before if you believe you are smart, cares President Obama succeeds; cares you can help Black community, please send your resume to him. If you doubt your resume will be lost please take to directly to NAACP CEO Jealous of Rev. Al Sharpton. They have easy access to President Obama. These will take your resume directly to President Obama. Please calm down and take this action before 2016. We don’t know who will come next.

Get over it Boyce, you will never get invited to the White house, nor will you ever get your own show. No one respects, nor recognize you as a leader of our people, and everyone knows that you are a paid informant for the republican tea baggers. You are not even qualified to teach at Syracuse university. The only reason why they haven’t fired you, is because they fear you will scream racism. You are best suited, for cleaning the toilets at Mitt Romney’s house, and that is where you should be invited.

Keep the pressure on Dr. Watkins for Mr. Obama’s accountability to Black folk’s that pave the way to the White House with their blood; a path on which he walks daily. Last week the Congessional Hispanic Caucus held a national press conference to remind the President that for their vote, they are preparing their Political Invoice for payment. Black folks who made it possible for the economic gains and the political advancement of Hispanics in this nation must demand no less. Many of the Mindless Negroes responding to your “Call Out the President” articles are probably descendants from the same Negro Pastors and Civic Leaders that were stabbing Dr. King in the back, accusing Dr. King of stirring up trouble with his marches in the 50′s & 60′s to abolish racism’s Jim Crow. Sadly, throughout the history of Black America, Willie Lynch’s cups of KoolAid have proven more popular to Chicken George minded Negroes than the thirst for the truth.

I believe that if the economy does fall off the cliff, it could be a good thing.Lot of what we spend billions of dollars on are just wasteful. The social welfare system need to be completely overall.
Many of these able body people collecting welfare should not remain on the system for support.
I lived in California for many years, and saw people coning into the United States, pregnant and going into hospitals to have their babies, those babies are United States Citizens. Those people never paid a dime into the system for their health care that they and their babies received. That cost is passed ont the American tax payers.
What is fair about that?.Look what has happened to the CXalifornia economy, it is now bankrupt. If this continue the entire nation will go the same way.Social Security and Medicare, is different, the tax payers paid in advance for those benefits, they are entitled to them. It’s owed to them, the government cannot renig on what these people have paid in advanced. The have a contract with the government for those services.

Hey Boyce, you mad that President Obama, won’t invite you, and your republican teabagger stooges to the White house, for a free dinner? You are the scum of the earth, and do not represent black folk. So go back in your hole, and eat dirt.

Boyce, pray tell!!! So you and your sidekicks were not invited so that makes those who were unworthy? Your unbridled hate for the President will destroy you. How many meetings dids you attend @ the White House when Bush was President? Clinton? Bush II? Find something constructive to offer and maybe someone will listen but all that you do is rant and rage about the President and your behavior is self-defeating.

I work with inmates and you act more like a victim that most of them. Grow the Hell Up. Your man lost!

Boyce Watkins considers only himself to be productive. It’s very clear to those of us who work in the mental health arena, that Watkins has classic issues of displacement. He projects his fears/anxieties/dislikes/irrationalities onto those he admires for one reason or another, while telling himself that they are part of a much larger problem of discriminatory practices aimed at him. His clear-cut narcissism prompts him to think that he has more notoriety than he actually has and this causes him to think he is being slighted by the President (who clearly doesn’t even know he exists). You see, in Boyce Watkins’ twisted mind, President Obama should’ve acknowledged what he perceives as an injustice done to him by Syracuse University and should call upon him to lead a panel on inequities in tenure appointments in major universities. Watkins feels thoroughly slighted that though he has penned books giving financial advice, he has been overlooked by the elite. Watkins, in essence, feels that he should’ve been the first Black President of the United States- he actually feels he is more qualified than Presdient Obama. Watkins will never come to terms with himself as a race-baiter, disillusioned, bitter man. He will take every available opportunity to be disagreeable, angry, divisive and derogatory. Those who respect his skewed perspectives share his same character. Every column he writes displays even more anger, aggression, and childlike rantings than the previous one. It will just get worse as it usually does with attention-seekers. His greatest fear is that someday soon, no one will respond to his desperation.
