Tyler Perry & Oprah Winfrey Announces Two New Series For OWN
The two leading entertainment icons in black America are probably Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry. Both of these people, by choosing to own their entities rather than rent their talents out to someone else, are among the richest entertainers in all of Hollywood. The two are forming a natural partnership that allows them to make money with their programming, and it’s all coming to a television set near you.
Looks like Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey are already off to a good start with their partnership for her television network OWN.
Two months after striking a deal to collaborate on scripted content for the channel, Perry has announced two series that will launch on OWN in mid-2013—one a sitcom and the other a drama.
The comedy, “Love Thy Neighbor” is set in Love’s Diner, where every day the menu serves up good food, great laughs, valuable life lessons and a lot of love for its zany neighbors.
