LAPD Gun Buyback Program Nets Two Rocket Launchers

The LAPD gun buyback program, held on Wednesday,  offered Ralphs gift cards worth up to $100 for handguns, shotguns and rifles, and up to $200 for assault weapons. Officials collected 1,962 guns,  and it was great to get those guns off the street right? Did I mention that they also collected two rocket launchers?!

This is huge, considering that rocket launchers are military grade weapons and are not intended for the general public. Know what’s even more shocking? An official familiar with the gun buyback program says this isn’t the first time the program has netted rocket launchers.

The official said of the rocket launchers,  ”we’ve had them in the past.”
