10 People Shot in Chicago on Friday and Saturday Alone

While the nation is saddened by the tragedies in Connecticut, there are shooting deaths happening all across the country.  One place that sees this kind of tragedy on a regular basis is the city of Chicago.  This weekend, on Friday and Saturday alone, 10 people were shot, including four teenagers.  Some are saying that President Barack Obama should not talk politics in the  middle of tragedy, while others are saying that this might be the perfect time to do so.

The Chicago Tribune tells the story:

Someone shot two boys, both 16, about 5:11 p.m. Friday afternoon in the 1700 block of East 71st Place in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side. Both were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in stable condition with gunshot wounds to their legs.

Will somebody send a copy of this report to Elpresidente Obama. These are our children too. Or they are subhumans because they are black?.
Mr. President look at the system you are running, it is what causing these children to be killing each other in the street of your hometown.
Until the issue of slavery is discussed in this society and programs developed to deal with its lasting impact on young black men, this crisis will remain a part of the black world problem. It is not only in Chicago, it is all around the Caribbean, where slavery existed, and opportunity is lacking to the people. These crises, are a direct results of slavery and poverty, and mental health.
