Jesse Jackson Jr. and Wife Under Additional Scrutiny for Modified Campaign Finance Reports

The challenges just keep coming for Rev. Jesse Jackson Jr and his wife Sandi.   It is now being reported that Sandi filed amended paperwork to her ward committee’s campaign fund shortly after her husband resigned from Congress.   The transactions dated back three years, leading some to question the couple’s use  of taxpayer money.  One of the reported items includes $13,000 from her husband’s congressional account that had not been disclosed in the past.

There is another $1,250 in monthly transfers to his wife’s Independent Political Organization, which she reported to be for rent.  But the 7th ward disclosure doesn’t list the purpose of the payments.
