Compton was once a mostly black area in California, but now there are violent Latino gangs there who have declared certain areas off limits 
to blacks. If black families move into what the Latino gangs declare to be their city, then the blacks are driven out by being intimidated or beaten.
The Los Angeles police department says there have been attacks on several black families over the last decade, most of them by Latino gangs. The Los Angeles Times details one such attack:
The black family—a mother, three teenage children and a 10-year-old boy—moved into a little yellow home in Compton over Christmas vacation.
When a friend came to visit, four men in a black SUV pulled up and called him a “n****r,” saying black people were barred from the neighborhood, according to Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies. They jumped out, drew a gun on him and beat him with metal pipes.
Compton has population of about 97,000, and was predominantly black for many years. It is now 65% Latino and 33% black, according to the 2010 U.S. census, and the Latino gangs intend to keep the city mostly Latino.
Law enforcement officials say the attacks on black families are being ordered by the Mexican Mafia prison gang:
Leaders of the Azusa 13 gang were sentenced to lengthy prison terms earlier this month for leading a policy of attacking African American residents and expelling them from the town.
Similar attacks have taken place in Harbor Gateway, Highland Park, Pacoima, San Bernardino, Canoga Park and Wilmington, among other places.
Many African-Americans are leaving the city because they don’t want to be targeted by the gangs.

Our neighborhoods are vulnerable and have been for some time. I’m from CA, but I don’t live in LA. I’m telling you that this is no conspiracy from “the man”. This is a well thought out strategy of both the Mexican and White prison gangs to control territory. In California, as we know the prison gangs reach into the streets, and have gang members doing their bidding. I tell you this. The main reasons the Blacks in Los Angeles are easy targets. First and foremost is the decline of families due in large part to the ABSENCE OF BLACK MEN IN HOMES AND COMMUNITIES. It’s a d**n shame so many of us are locked up and therefore not in our communities and able to stave off these attacks. The second reason is the lack of unity that those remaining on the streets have shown in repelling these attacks. Dammit there is still black on black violence in Los Angeles despite the fact that the Mexican prison gang has stated Its policy of extermination/ gentrification. This is what happens. Instead of everyone for himself and only his territory, a cohesive United front is needed. Nobody has stepped up. This is our failure my Black Brothers. Our family units have been weakened, and left vulnerable due to the last 30 year’s of bullshit gangbanging which causes us to kill EACH OTHER very effectively and foster black on black hate. Many black people left Los Angeles in the 1990′s when factories closed. Those that left tended to be middle class with the most money, and intact families. They left in the second “great migration” back to the southern United States, and many also left the city for the suburbs surrounding Los Angeles and all over CA. The Black population of Los Angeles that remained had to deal with gentrification of their former neighborhoods by Mexican iimmigrants. The bottom line is this. Either step the f@ck up and heal our families and in turn our communities to meet this threat or don’t, but my God brothers let’s stop blaming everyone else and saying that Black and Brown shouldn’t fight because it only benefits the “man”

Let’s just know that perspectives are developed on cultural teachings and that includes hatred. We can and we should respect one another’s cultures and in turn one another as human beings. To tell the truth i dont even know how i got to this website. As a Mexican-American i want to tell you that as far as am concerned there is no conspiracy to take ‘our land back’ as some said in this page. I just wanted to say that not all Mexicans are the same. Over here in Houston Blacks and Mexicans we get along reallly well. I myself have alot of African American friends who i see as brother. I don’t understand your vitriol but obviously you are upset. First let’s talk about now. You are making a lot of the same generalizations about Blacks that you are mad that Blacks are making about Mexicans. You don’t fight hatred with hatred but with education and communication. Now let’s talk history. All Blacks do not come from the West Coast of Africa. Some of us were here long before the Europeans. People that are organized are able to create a future for their people on their own lands. If a Black person forgets about slavery then he is liable of creating a more modern version of it. Which is one of the reasons we are far behind because we have forgotten the struggles of 400 years of oppression. We are here because our ancestors did not give in to the harshnes of life, instead they perservered. That is why Blacks are hear today. Jim Jones, after his massacre of nearly 900 people about 80% of them being Black had a sign on the campsite that read “A people who forget their history are liable of creating that dreadful past.” That is what he did, he brainwashed them, sent them to another country, and then had them committ suicide. They were also forced to slave labor. Need I say more. Me personally will never forget people like Harriet Tubman, Sojorner Truth, Ida B.Well, Frederick Douglas, Nat Turner, and others. Well now I know what has happened to the Blacks in Compton and areas of East Los Angeles.The last time I was in San Bernardino there was a decided presence of many Mexicans where there was not before.Where did the Mexicans get the feeling that they are can run anyone out of their homes and take over the area?I agree that if this was a white neighborhood it would not be happening. Drastic measures would have been taken long before now.Since the whites are not friends of either group the Whites are not too disturbed about the events.Usually it’s not that blacks run Whites from neighborhoods, Whites usually move of their own volition rather than have them as neighbors.We are under siege from every form of humanity on planet earth here in America.To the black families that are running they will not cease to be chased until there is no where to go.
I live in the South and I will say this, keep that junk in California as it will not bode well for you here in the South.The southerners love their guns and are not opposed to using them. They practice on each other and would enjoy some outsiders for variety.
It is a sad state of affairs that have humans fighting each other as is happening today. I have a suggestion for the Mexicans- use some of that force on your own government officials and there would be no need to come and try to take over in someone else’s country.

Well, black are about to lose their political power to HIspanics because of the coming explosion of Hispanic migration being promoted right now by Obama. These hispanics will destroy black political and economic power. Obama is making it all possible by giving Hispanics open immigration to over 20 million hispanics. These 20 million will explode to over 50 million once they bring their families here. Black America is finished.

When I came to America first years ago, their was no word such as Hispanic or latino used officially to describe spanish speaking people, every one was put down with the police as Puerto Rican. The US census clasified all spanish speaking people as white and to appease them since they wanted to be white, they came up with Hispanics. Hispanics could be from any place. Americans come from America,japanese from Japan, Hispanics could be from South America or even Puerto Rico. Hispanics could be white, black or Indian looking, matter of fact in Spanisk they use a word TRIGENO, a tilde accent over the N, to mean those who are dark skin or three geans, Black, White and so called Indian.If you have one drop of African blood the Americans clasified you as black. Mix some white paint with one drop of black paint and see if you get white.They better straighten up and fly right.

I remember when Compton was a black city, but they were out smart by the Latinos, the Latino, moved in and the blacks welcome them, they came in and two and three families moved into the same house. You must be sleeping or something because I live in Illinois and I heard about Mexicans/Hispanics or whatever they are have been doing this quite some time. I wrote Al Sharpton when he was in LA walking with them for citizenship while blacks are being killed for a little or nothing. I also wrote in an email to the President and see that nothing is being done. A young man that was killed named Jamiel Shaw II by a Hispanic gang member. The father has been fighting this and they got 76,000 signatures to try and get Jamiels Law on the books but their election officials(probably all spanish) claim they only had 18,000 of the 73,000 they needed so it did not get on the ballot. Walter Moore a white lawyer and Mayoral candidate lost to the supposedly crooked spanish Mayor. Thank God I did not vote for Obama, he is in no way for black people, yet he can act foolish with JayZ and Beyonce brushing off their shoulders. He better fear God! Black people need to stop supporting these hispanic businesses because the only thing important to the great majority of them is taking over the USA which it will be a war I believe before that happens. Get it together black people. It is this younger generation that thinks everybody likes them and selling out to be friends with these people who don’t give a darn about you!!

I sort of agree with Wilbert. This is like Newtown, Connecticut in a way. When we suffer, we suffer in silence in public. The article said police knew about this for some time, but nothing is done. Had that been white families assaulted at gun point ,and forced out of a neighborhood , it would be all over the news. The president might even flyout there and shed a tear for the white families forced out of their homes and an executive order would be signed to have military patrol their neighborhood and treat it like a terrorist act…. smh
