Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake Announce The Legends Of Summer Tour

jay222The Music Industry’s royal couple is truly like Bonnie and Clyde. Right after the SuperBowl, Beyoncé announced her world tour, the Mrs. Shawn Carter World Tour, via her fan page. She went on to have major success with her HBO documentary, “Life Is But A Dream”, and sat down with Oprah’s “Next Chapter”. Now it’s Jay-Z’s turn. After appearing with Justin Timberlake on the Grammys, it has been officially announced that he and Timberlake will hit the road together.

The Legends of Summer Tour is set to k**k off on July 17th, in Toronto,ON.  Along the way, the pair will stop by New York’s Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park in Boston, and Chicago’s Soldier Field. Jay-Z is featured on Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” single, from his new album. The rapper can also be seen in the video for the single.

Rumors were already circulating, after their Grammy performance. Jay-Z has done several collaboration tours before. The most recent one was with Kanyé West, for the Watch the Throne tour.  That tour was greeted with major success. Tickets for the 12 city tour go on sale Thursday. Those looking to see the duo in New York will have to wait a little later to buy tickets.

Both Jay-Z and Timberlake have been quite busy lately. It was just announced that Timberlake will be coming back to SNL, to host. Jay-Z and wife, Beyoncé, just signed publishing deals with Warner/Chapelle, and he is set to score the remake film of The Great Gatsby. The highest ticket price for the tour is a whopping $ 250.

July 22 – Chicago, IL – Soldier Field

July 26 – San Francisco, CA – Candlestick Park

July 28 – Los Angeles, CA – Rose Bowl

July 31 – Vancouver, BC – BC Place Stadium

August 4- Hershey, PA – Hershey Stadium

August 6 – Detroit, MI – Ford Field

August 8 – Baltimore, MD – M&T Bank Stadium

August 10 – Boston, MA – Fenway Park

August 13 – Philadelphia, PA – Citizens Bank Park

August 16 – Miami, FL – Sun Life Stadium
