Robin Roberts Officially Back As Host on Good Morning America

Robin220Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts officially returned to Good Morning America on Wednesday thankful and happy to be back. Her return was promoted two weeks ahead of her coming back to the show. Robin Roberts, according to research is the most liked host in American morning show history.

The president of NBC, Ben Sherwood said, “After 173 very long days, it’s beautiful to get back to business as usual with our full team and two more wonderful regulars.”  Roberts joins her co-host George Stephanopoulos once again. Hosts Elizabeth Vargas and Amy Robach filled in for the ailing Roberts until her return.

Roberts was out for months, recovering from M.D.S. or myelodysplastic syndromes, a rare debilitating b***d disorder. The disease required Roberts to undergo a bone marrow transplant. It is said that the disorder may have been a result of her breast cancer, five years ago.

Instead of ignoring Roberts’s condition , NBC decided to bring her condition to light, of course taking cues from Roberts herself, and educating the masses about the life threatening disease, in which donor rates for African Americans is scarce. Critics thought the station was covering her journey to boost ratings.

Roberts says, “This is a wonderful new chapter for all of us.

Right you are. For a moment I thought she’d switched gears during her leave and went over to Today (lol). Anyway, I’m so very happy that she’s back and doing fine
