Yvette and Columnist Raynard Jackson: Obama Gave Black People Exactly What He Promised – Nothing

by Yvette Carnell

One of the issues we must eventually confront in the black community is the number of divisions which currently exist in our ranks. I yvette carnell oovoohave too many liberal views to ever be considered a black conservative, but like most people, I can’t (or at least I  shouldn’t) be defined based on my views on a handful of issues. But that’s exactly how black conservatives have been caricatured within the black community.

As I see it, the problem is that what we know of black conservatives is learned through the prism of white media. We have come to the conclusion that all black conservatives are “sellouts” because we’ve seen former Congressman Allen West making fundamentally flawed and inflammatory pronouncements on Fox News, and so on. What I plan to do in this series on black conservatives is allow them to speak for themselves, through the prism of black media instead of white media.

In this interview, I ask columnist and conservative consultant Raynard Jackson what he thinks about President  Obama’s relationship to the black community, the gay agenda (and how it impacts the black agenda), the Chicago murder rate, black culture,  and why Rev. Al Sharpton never pushed Obama to do more for the black community.

I wish people would rise up out of the foolishness when it comes to expectations of the President of the United States of America. As a black person, I have not expected anything special from Presidents Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Carter or any others. To anticipate that President Obama is going to dismiss all of his duties to focus only on the concerns of black people is ludicrous. Yes, he should add our concerns to his agenda. But, we need to realize that this man has a multitude of issues to address; and, we can’t be sitting around anticipating any special handout from him. He is not the local community organization leader. He is leading states; national budget issues; the military; homeland security; foreign and world affairs; and, we are crying about not being paid attention to. I’m getting sick of hearing it. And, I am also getting sick of hearing white people being so afraid that the President of the United States is even thinking about your a _ _ too. Rise up out of your inferiority complexes; and, your own laziness long enough to realize that this man is not paying attention to your silly games of trying to tear him down because he is not white. If you have a problem with black people leading you, go commit s*****e. Nobody is going to stop living, working and leading because you exist; and, are afraid. It’s America. We’re all in here. Now, get it together; and, do the Rodney King: “get along.”

What do you guys want President Obama to do? Talk about what issues you’d like to address, more so than what he is doing for other groups of Americans.
This is beginning to sound very childish and pathetic from the few blacks we know that have such a voice in our communities. Stop the blaming and come up with a list of concerns and send them to the President. Also, those same issues, put forth some initiative yourselves to help in whatever it is you’re wanting Him to do. Do something yourselves! If you make it clear (what the Prez is supposing to be doing), then maybe the rest of us will get on board an offer help as well.

    Yvette,

Sorry, I do not agree with your views on Homosexuality. I am totally in agreement with Raynard. He is brilliant on his views, and I agree whole hardily with him.

    Best,

People how can you blame Mr. Obama for anything. He has been opposed before, during and will be after his political term. No President has ever been disrespected as Mr. Obama. All know it isn’t his politics. It is his color. Greater America know it. That is why they put him back into the White House. His plan for the country is for the common good. But with a racist GOP Congress it is going to be difficult.

We have to all do our part and support our President. He is helping the American people and we are American’s. He has helped us and supported us but so many of us just don’t get it.

For real, for real. It is not the government’s fault that everything is so screwed
up. The government is really only responsible for taking care of the (THINGS ) shared by all of the people;the streets, the water, the gas ,the electric or the MUNICIPALITIES, the protection, the collection and disbursement of funds to run the government and it’s subsidiaries.Actually the government is responsible for enforcing the laws of fairness ( between )all the people.????? upholding the constitution ????? ) between the many individual families that collectively comprise the domain that it governs over. The reason why the government is so whack is that it is trying to do another job that it can’t do. The governments job is what it says……TO G O V E R N ….or to be in charge
of the stuff of the collective body of families as a whole not the individual needs. That is the responsibility ( job ) another body that we will figure out
    in a minute.
So …If the government is responsible for making decisions for the overall
provisions, protecting, laying down the rules and enforcing them and punishing those who disobey them with a time out (incarceration ) or
spanking (monetary fines),then the government represents a governing
authority over the total demographics of the area it serves.
The people who live under that governing head is the body and subject to follow the head.
If we compared the government and it’s people to a normal family, then the government would represent the father and the people would represent the child. so who is missing from this equation?
There needs someone to take care of the job of feeding the individual child
and watching over the child, taking care of it’s every need and it’s total
WELFARE. This would cause the child to feel safe and comfortable and give the caregiver a strong influence over the child. That influence can be used to train the child to be obedient to the rules so that it can stay happy and safe. O K Now I know you already have an idea where I’m going next.
Whose job in the family did we just describe?????RIGHT!!!!!! THE MOTHER :).
So what organization is responsible (like the mother )for the welfare of the
    people????????????????? THE CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Church is responsible for the welfare of the people not the government!!!!! Let that be the reason things are so whack. The church
has turned in an irresponsible party w***e that has prostituted her influence and p****d her respect. A s***k ho HARLOT

    that disobey them

It never ceases to amaze me that so many people think President Obama should somehow just make life grand for them. Really? You expect that the President can handle you and your family’s personal affairs? Do people not have any problem-solving abilities? Why not come up with a plan to help yourself and your family? Why should anyone have to create a government program to fit your particular situation? Can you imagine if every difficulty in life would be subsidized by the government?

Once again I said it before I saw it.I told you how tuff it is to be President Obama and how there aren’t enough hours in a day nor minutes in an hour for him to balance his commitments to a bunch of self-full,selfish,child minded grown ups with plenty of time to complain while they don’t have a clue about what is involved in the president’s job. You people —smile –
inspired me to write this saying that we all should live by.
THE NOISE THAT YOUR MOUTH IS MAKING ABOUT THE PROBLEM SHOULD ONLY BE AS LOUD AS THE NOISE THAT YOUR HANDS ARE MAKING TRYING TO SOLVE IT!!!!!!
In today’s Washington Post Newspaper it reads:”The president missed the deadline for submitting his budget request to congress for the third year in a row.A.5
Can you imagine ? ( probably not ) what his white constituents must be saying amongst each other? Probably something like this “I told you that negroes are always a day late and a dollar short”.
Sad thing is that the president is probably thinking that he let his black side down for giving his white side an opportunity to say that.
So you self proclaimed geniuses need to volunteer your time (since you have so much time to complain and criticize)and help the president balance the budget if you even know what a budget is .So next time , put yourself in his shoes before you join in with the others bashing the real man with the hardest job on earth. Feel good when you see him relax because believe you me …..HE EARNS IT!!!!

President Obama is torn between two lovers. He has to maintain a basically
neutral stance between two jealous and selfish brats—-the blacks and the whites.
Basically his hands are tied by the true powers that be and he is trying to figure out how to work within the limitations of his “virtual authorative position”He is a president and not a king .Worst off ,he is the head of a already divided body-a fake democratic( for the people society) whose god is capitalistic (against the people society) two totally contradictory concepts.
Ultimately he is just a figurehead over a failed concept that was doomed from the beginning but was used to clandestinely create the true powers that be that are the true hand that controls the whole PUPPET SHOW’
Politicians and religious leaders are played as our enterchainment. They are the tools of mass-manipulation to be used until all mass manipulation can be done electronically ordered by the push of a one world button. We are almost there so we need to prepare. I’m working on the how to’s.I have already figured out the what and why.
We are the ones who will fix our communities. It’s our HOUSE and if we patch the holes dividing us we will stand forever. We will be the last ones standing

True, Obama should not be looked at as our “saviour” but there are things that he is doing that he should be doing anf there are things that he should not be doing but yet he is. Yes, we have the right to complain about his inactions consider we were the ones that helped put him where he is now. I personally find it quite embarrasshing that that the first thing that he does in his second term has nothing to do with helping blacks directly. Making Latino and gay issues a priority is really a smack in the face and really there is no excuse for it. My other probelm is that considering how messed up the justice system is, I find it very hard to believe that he could not find not one pardonable brother or sister that should be release based on trumped up federal charges.

We all (including myself)made excuses for him the first term because the racist whites would have attacked him more out of fear of black reliation than anything else. Now that they have nothing over him (re-election) there is no excuse why he keeps ignoring us as a people.

What I propose is that if the democratic party does not step up to the plate in regards to our needs like they do every other group is that we collectively support a third party and get off of their plantation of lies and broken promises. We already know that the republicans can care less, but at least they tell us in our faces.

i think Obama stinks after us blacks are voting in
record numbers,he makes immigration reform his first agenda.my mom lost use her home twice once with Katrina and then by fire, and the insurance company cheated her on her lost. most blacks are unemployed or under employed, but we still are believing in Mr Obama.illegal is just that ,so your kids are illegal are too.i have worked for 50 years in this country my social security payments are lower than my neighbor who has never worked a day in this country, but brags that she is rebuilding her home in Mexico with my tax dollars.let Mexico take care of their own and Obama should have some respect for us black folk who stood in line for hours to vote and are still standing waiting for him to acknowledge we need to help too.I’m done with the democratic party and our president too.. wake up folk he fooled us twice..

Thank u sooo much Ms. Balele for getting to the heart of the matter…I am sooo sick of people blaming Obama for not raising their children or even attempting any form or fashion of personal responsibility. Whatever happened to our men raising our boys instead of crying for Obama to come to Chicago. Hidatsa was extremely innocent, but if you the neighborhood weed selling negro, a crip or four corner hustler, if u rob dope boys for profit…it’s unfortunate but you are going to die …period…nothing Obama, Jesse, or anyone else can do. As far as your opinion of the judges and system you are spot on there is no justice, I am a victim myself, the unemployment courts heard my plea and readily sided w me at an original judicial hearing, the federal magistrate heard the exact same evidence, and denied my day in court via summary judgement….there is no relief, we gotta open our own businesses. EEOC is experiencing a 2-3 year backlog if cases because of indirect, Obama get back, they can’t touch him bc of secret service but thousands of black men are having careers executed daily.

I written before that we black people should stop blaming President Obama. We should try to find causes and solutions to high employment and violence in our Black communities. There are several factors. First we have to strive to graduate from high school. That means those without high school should try to get GED. I have met very bright Black boys and girls, but they lack GED. Employers, as excuse, first ask if you have 12 year degree. Second we have to stop hooliganism i.e. baggy pants showing underwear. No regular employer would hire somebody with baggy pants, a reflection of bad behavior – suspecting shop lifting and killing one another. Second, we should seek to have more police officers. Please e-mail President Obama for stimulus funds for more police officers now before he leaves office in 2016. After the recent 26 people gunned down at the school, Republicans now realize gun violence is not in Black problem but is in White and elite neighborhoods. Black churches have to be involved too. They can be guiding lights to reduce violence and reduce achievement gap. I am writing a grant application to that effect. Third, we have to be committed to find employment. This is despite some of us have criminal records. There are jobs that do not inhibit you from being employed despite our criminal records: highway construction, drywall painting, carpentry, brick layers, trucking, delivery jobs, assembly work, high rise construction, oil drilling etc. Use those muscles to get a job. Every time I drive around I see only Whites and Mexicans working in street repairs. Where are Blacks? They don’t have the skills! We should get training at 2 year colleges – six months graduation. President Obama has grants and loans for you. Now if we are denied jobs we have to find why. Sue the employers. However, we Blacks have to be careful with federal judges now – I mean federal republican appointed judges. Some federal judges are republicans and are now turning racists. They are upset President Obama was re-elected. These racist judges are avenging themselves by denying blacks justice. So even if you sue, these judges will protect employers. Please read discrimination opinions from 7th circuit. You will be amazed how republican judges rule. Just horrible. They usually side with employers, many times knowingly. We used to hear such judges’ behavior in federal courts in Texas. We never expected such behavior to happen in our backyard federal court of Western District of Wisconsin. One judge in federal court district conducted a Kangaroo hearing – denying a Black man right to ask his opponent questions. Some republican judges were raised to believe Blacks were intellectually inferior to Whites. We have to make sure we get justice in courts. Thank God we have Eric Holder as US AG. Also watch out our republican governors. For instance Walker of Wisconsin doesn’t want Blacks to sue employers. In fact the governor is trying to get rid of state department that investigates discrimination complaints. So in Wisconsin you can be denied a job and there is nowhere to turn to. You’re a slave in Wisconsin is you’re black. Thank God the Wisconsin court system still works. What a break. Reminder – Please be careful who you have federal judges. If you have a case in federal court, investigate if the judge is a republican and fire him or her within 10 days of filing your case. I did once and therefore you can do so.
