Some good ones are that sometimes it is okay to go to bed angry, take a break from fighting until everyone has had a chance to cool off and take responsibility for your part in the argument. Those might not be the three keys that you need to better your relationship.The following are more tips on how to make you love work.

When arguing with your partner, avoid using the word “but” because it is killing your communication. By adding “but” it’s as if you are undoing any apology or reducing any responsibility on your part. Acknowledging where your partner is coming from and then adding a “but” plus your feelings isn’t going to help anyone. If you want to understand where your partner is coming from then do not undermine your own efforts.
