This week, the Rev. Jesse Jackson has one less thing to worry about in his life. The city of Freeport, Illinois has realized that maybe prosecuting a storied civil rights leader for a minor offense might not be such a good idea. Trespassing charges have been dropped against Jackson and 13 others in relation to a protest that took place in the city about jobs being lost to foreign workers.
The Journal-Standard is reporting that the alleged trespassing took place during a rally against the decision by Sensata Technologies to ship its job overseas.
